Must clients be based in the UK to access OffsiteCentral's service?
We provide an overnight service. Since we are based in New Zealand, we work best, time-wise, when serving UK-based clients' needs. Therefore we prefer that clients are based in the UK, so we can provide the best service.

What format of digital files can OffsiteCentral process?
We can accept many different audio format files, eg .dss, .wav, .wma, .mp3. If you record to a digital voice recorder, the chances are that we can accept it. Contact us to double-check.

Does OffsiteCentral offer any services other than transcription?
Yes. Some examples are that we can create Microsoft Office templates. We can also copytype scanned documents. (As we are an online company, rather than paper-based, we cannot accept faxes, but you can of course simply scan your fax and send us the scan.) If you have other word processing needs, contact us to see if we can help.

How are charges calculated?
Charges for transcribing and proofreading single-speaker dictation files are calculated by applying a set rate per audio minute of dictation. All other services (including template creation, copytyping, transcribing multi-speaker files etc) are charged on an hourly rate. Contact us for more information on charges.

How do clients pay?
Clients are invoiced monthly in New Zealand dollars, but with the UK sterling equivalent given. Payment may be made by direct bank transfer or by UK cheque. Payment is due within ten working days.

Does OffsiteCentral accept micro, mini or standard cassette tapes?
As our systems are geared for the processing of digital files, we are sorry but we cannot transcribe cassette tapes.
